"Closure May Not Be what You Are After" Written by Salkis Re(c)2017 I often Coach women who feel an obligation to offer closure to people who have hurt them. Anyone who has intentionally hurt you has actually forfeited their right to closure or any knowledge as to why you are making your decision to end their relationship with you. Yet and still, what often happens is that your "explaination" of your actions invites an opening for "negotiations" and a softening up of your resolve which helps the other person effectively to dissuade you from carrying out your plans. You are casting pearls to swine at that point, and making yourself a target to be coerced back into giving him/her another chance, (which might be your plan to begin with). Be honest.
