So according to Urban Dictionary, a hayburner is “a scandalous rural female bred for her skills in luring country men into her bedroom”. That’s right folks, clearly Darwin had no idea what he was talking about with natural selection or survival of the fittest because we have come to the point where we are just breeding hillbilly fuckers. I’m going to assume that this beer in no way shape or form has anything to do with those white trash seductresses but it is a damn delicious beer that I am glad I got a 6 pack of. This beer is juicy as fuck starting with a huge tropical fruit flavor followed by some solid mango and guava flavors mixed with a mild bitterness and floral hop flavor before closing out with more citrus and tropical fruit. I’m pretty damn bummed that these are my last from Big Ditch because they really kicked some serious ass with their care package and I can only hope that these guys blow up ASAP so I can start seeing their stuff closer to me. If you want to jump into the style and almost get an intro into the “New England” style of IPAs without the haze, pick this up because it’s super smooth and drinkable and the only thing you won’t like is that you can only drink it 12oz at a time. As for you bastard drinking club members, you should of gotten the hint by now that you should be drinking this so get your asses up to NY and snag some cans today! Actually, it’s a little late so maybe just wait until tomorrow.

Packet up packet in, let me begin. I came to win, battle me that’s a sin. I won’t ever slack up, punk you better back up. Try and play the role and yo the whole crew’ll act up. Could there be a better theme song for a beer this good? I didn’t think so. The only thing I would recommend is NOT jumping around because if you spilled even a single drop of this I’m pretty sure a single tear would roll down every craft beer drinker’s cheeks like a Native American chief watching somebody litter on their land. I’m pretty sure I’ve only been to Buffalo once or twice but I had no clue this brewery existed so it looks like I need to start planning a trip ASAP because these guys have received the rose on the Beer Bachelor show that is my drinking life. A righteous wave of mango and pineapple juice starts things off with a near perfect mix of bitter sweet before some pine mixes in with some resinous hop flavors and a shit load more bitterness before ending with some more tropical and citrus flavors mixed with that sticky icky heavy hop flavor that really elevates this above most of it’s competition. Even though Buffalo has a shit football team, they clearly know their way around a beer which I’m guessing goes hand in hand because there are probably many nights that the town needs to drink away their sorrows so they might as well drink delicious craft like this outstanding brew. If you are the new kid at Craft High make sure you don’t get bullied like Hannah Baker but definitely pick this beer up because it’s the perfect crash course into the New England style IPA. As for you senior class shit heads drinking up a storm on a daily basis, pick this up and thank me later because these guys are a hidden fucking treasure that everyone should be searching out. Ok, there must be something seriously wrong with me. I feel like fucking Oprah giving out all these 9’s lately but I guess I’ve just seriously lucked out with an incredible selection of beers lately and this is no exception to that. Big Ditch created one “big” beer with this one and I’m just surprised that the can was able to contain that much flavor within it without blowing up like one of North Korea’s failed missile tests. These guys were awesome enough to shoot me over 3 different styles to try out and so far we are off to a fantastic start so let’s get down to it. A strong pine and resin flavor starts things off with a pretty nice bitterness before some mango and citrus flavors mix in with even more pine bitterness before ending with a little bit of alcohol mixed with a mango and battery acid cocktail with even more resinous hops. I don’t think many things in life make me happier than finding a new brewery making absolutely incredible beers but while you are all out there posting up the most common hazy beers out there, I’ve got a giant orange mustache glued to my face like Nigel Thornberry discovering beers like this to share with the world. Anyways, if you are looking for a downright delicious example of the style and you are well versed in the world of DIPAs, make sure you pick this up because it rocks harder than Dwayne Johnson. Get it? As for you rookies out there, this is definitely going to be too much for you but I urge you to keep this in mind once you get closer to the top of the mountain. Cheers!
