I don't really know where to begin. You are the one who asked for these and I was going to answer them, so I'm going to start with whatever seems like a good place.

Well, I guess that the question of what they are made of, or what they are not made of is important, so the first thing to note is that I don't think they would be made of anything. I mean, there's a sense in which "anything" is kind of an interesting thing to ask about a non-material object, but these wouldn't be a thing. They wouldn't exist. They would have to be made. But the word "made" implies that they would have something in common with the stuff that other people are made of. That is, they wouldn't be things made of anything like my flesh or your bones. So these would be, roughly, things made of stuff that people are not made of. If someone said "Hey, there's something I want to give you. I made it out of stuff that can go on the inside of this door and make things happen when you open it." That'd be interesting, but something that would probably be an awkward thing to get a handle on.

They wouldn't have a physical shape. Or they would, but I'm not sure what shape they would be. It would be some function of shape, rather than a "real" object. I don't know what you mean by "shape" – do you mean by that "size, shape and location" or do you mean "some characteristic like'sharp' or'smooth' or'spiked'" or some more concrete characteristic? If it's the first, then I have no clue. If it's the second, they would probably look like sharp spikes. But they might not. I don't really have a sense of what the objects you and I think of as "spikes" look like and I'd have to look up and check before I could give you the real answer.

On a related note, if you wanted to see them, what would they look like to your eyes?

It would be very difficult to tell what they were made of, which is what you asked about. On the other hand, I'd guess their primary substance would be something that isn't part of anyone or anything? So if you were very close, maybe you could get a really strong sense of what it would feel like to be the sort of thing that could go inside the door I mentioned. But if you were very far away, it would be pretty hard to get a clear idea of their substance at all. You might not be able to see through them at all.

Their texture would be hard to pin down. You would probably feel like their "texture" was a kind of slippery shade of grayness. If you got close, you might be able to pick up the actual texture (you'd have to pick up a particle of it and look at it) but you would be pretty sure that you were not seeing the real texture. Which could make seeing them in person a really interesting experience, but if you got to know their texture well you would probably also understand that it's not really made of anything, except that you can't say that.

They would have the characteristic weight of things made out of nothing. They wouldn't have any more or less weight than anything else, so if you had one in your hands and threw it up and it was the right size, you would think that that was the weight that they had, but if you went to put it somewhere, you would also know that they would weigh anything at all.
