BiTalks Topic #20: Favorite Bi Character
Who is your favorite bi character? Magnus Bane from The Mortal Instruments. He is a badass, immortal warlock who doesn't give a crap. He's an all around good person who is always there for his friends. Why are they important to you? Magnus is the first person, fictional or not, that I related to once I began identifying as bi. On top of that, he has many qualities I wish I had: he doesn't really care what people think, he has an amazing sense of style and is very independent. Which of their qualities do you like best? I really like that Magnus isn't afraid to be different. He doesn't rely on, or seemingly care about what people think. What about their story strikes a cord within you? Not much to be honest. I mean, he's an immortal warlock and I'm a teenage girl. I guess I relate to him because he's bi, and proud of it. In one of the books he calls himself "a freewheeling bisexual." He is openly bi and very proud. I am proud to be bi, but closeted, so I guess that's all.
