INTRODUCING THE SUPERMAN '86 TO '99 NEWSLETTER!
AKA, the exact same thing as this blog, but in email form! You can subscribe here: https://buttondown.email/superman86to99 (make sure to check your spam folder for the confirmation email)
Why a newsletter? Mainly because we're trying to rely less on Tumblr now that it started limiting how much logged-out users can read, which is pretty dumb. We'll also be discontinuing our Twitter feed (since "Twitter" doesn't really exist anymore), so if you relied on that to find out about new posts, please consider subscribing. We're still on BlueSky, though, and everything in this blog will continue being copied and pasted into Patreon as free posts.
The newsletter is free and always will be, but we're also trying out* an optional "pay what you want" subscription thing where if you feel like throwing us $1 or more a month, you'll get all the articles about non-continuity stuff we've been posting on Patreon -- just sent out one about the Elseworlds annuals where Superboy and others dress up in leather jackets and rip off the Seven Samurai. (*I say "trying out" because it costs us $9 a month to enable this feature, so obviously we might have to turn it off if we end up losing money.)
But the main thing is, we want as many people as possible to read our posts gushing about Bibbo (big Bibbo/Krypto moment coming soon, btw) or obsessing about tiny '90s DC continuity details, and both Tumblr and Twitter don't seem to like that idea very much these days, so hopefully the newsletter will help fix that. We've already imported all 500+ posts in this blog into the newsletter's web archive, just in case Tumblr is suddenly bought out by a billionaire and becomes nothing but sweaty crypto bros selling AI-generated NFTs tomorrow.
Note: If you wanna pay $1 one time, read all the supporters-only articles, and cancel the subscription, go for it! We won't get mad. Just keep in mind those links will stop working after you unsub.
Note 2: If you're already a patron on Patreon and would rather get those articles via the newsletter, let me know and I'll add you to the paid tier for free.
Note 3: We posted a big article about the 1994 "Worlds Collide" crossover the other day, in case you missed it! (See, wouldn't have missed it if you got the newsletter... here's that link again: https://buttondown.email/superman86to99)
