Me: My friend's work was being sexist, and she was talking about how she kind of wanted to move to wimmin's land. And we started joking about whether that still existed, and what their quota of lesbians was, and whether bisexuals were tallied separately, or should be counted at 1/2 the rate of lesbians so there could be twice as many, and whether bisexuals have to pay half-cost for Lesbian Connection to even find these ads (because it's "free to lesbians").

We decided that bisexuals should be tallied separately and be paying in some totally different currency, like maybe barter. And then her friend goes, "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but societal tradition dictates that we don't really count you in a meaningful manner. As such, we will be assigning 50% of you to the hets and 50% to the lesbians and you will be rolled into their totals."

Friends 1 and 2, out bisexuals: *laugh uproariously*

Friend 3, bisexual but has never gotten into the queer community: *smiles*

Friend 4, a straight woman: *completely stonefaced, still waiting for punchline*
