Demi grew up in a very rich family. Her family is uptight and not close at all. They like to pretend they are to keep up appearances but really they all can’t stand each other deep down. This especially got worse in recent years when her entire family basically lost all their money thanks to her father who has a bit of a spending and gambling problem. Demi is the only one of her siblings who is financially independent now. They’re often asking her for a place to stay now and for money. Demi gives it when she can, but only because she enjoys having the upper hand when it comes to her family. 

She owns a popular luxury clothing and accessory boutique that has locations in Boston, New York, California, and Miami. It’s called Lane Boutique which is a homage to her middle name which was also her late grandmother’s name who Demi loved very much.

Demi has a very recognizable face. People often look at her and try to think of where they know her from. After a while, they give up, but she was actually once a famous model though Demi doesn’t talk about those days anymore. They were basically her breaking point, as she didn’t enjoy the spotlight and cracked under the pressure of fame and the fashion industry.  

She was a loved up and coming model with a promising career that she basically threw away. During her brief career, she cheated on her wife and lost herself completely. She had no idea who she was and became crippling insecure. It resulted in the downfall of her career and her marriage.

Vivienne, Demi’s ex-wife, is someone she’s still very much in love with. They were together for 12 years, married for 5 years, and only got divorced 1 year ago. It hasn’t been easy on Demi and she’s basically been single ever since. They have 3 children together and work together to co-parent. The two are extremely civil and still close but something is obviously unspoken between them.

Demi knows she ruined her marriage which she endlessly beats herself up for. Though she’s doing a lot better now and has been endlessly working on herself. Once she left the world of modelling and runway shows, she felt much freer. There was no more pressure to be perfect and simply no pressure at all. She obviously stilled loved fashion and eventually opened her boutique. 

Demi is a WORKAHOLIC who needs everything to be perfect. She can be very uptight and is a serious perfectionist. She needs to be in charge almost always. She has a very dominant personality and it’s hard to upstage that.

It’s nothing too bad they’re just old fashioned and ignorant about the subject so Demi has learned to let it go and not expect much from them. It wasn’t easy on Demi growing up and it forced her to find her own way in the world which she’s actually thankful for.

Demi can be very self-destructive. She’s impulsive and becomes easily lost within her own head. But she’s been trying very hard to stay on a good path, especially within recent years.

backstory

born and raised in san diego, california in a middle class family to two loving, devoted parents. her father was the chief of the san diego police department ( now retired ), and her mother was a guidance counsellor at the middle school ( also retired now ).  being the eldest, elizabeth was spoiled a wee bit during her early childhood, until victoria was born and then, three years later, alexander was born. with two younger children to eat up her parents’ attention, elizabeth was left to her own devices most of the time, which lead her to mixing in with ‘‘‘‘‘the wrong crowd’’’’’’.

teenage years were wild, she was rebellious. she was an absolute  s h i t h e a d  as a teen, actually.  she’d sneak out in the middle of the night with the boys her parents warned her to stay away from, smoke in the girls’ washrooms at school, used fake ids to purchase booze and get into bars/clubs, vandalized the neighbourhood however she could with whatever she could… girl was a savage.  classic defiant party girl is the very essence of her childhood. with her dad being the captain of the sdpd, she found herself being picked up in the wee hours of the morning by the men and women who worked for him. she still remembers the dreaded radio call in they’d make to her dad while she sat in the backseat of the patrol car.

OVERDOSE & DEATH TW; she was headed down a pretty dangerous path, and her parents feared the worst, which would have happened, if it didn’t happen to one of her friends first. elizabeth’s friend had overdosed in the bathroom during one raging party, and by the time anyone stumbled upon him, it was too late. this, of course, traumatized her; shook her to her core and straightened her up real quick. the fact that it could have happened to her was certainly a big awakening for lizzie.

she needed a change, to get away from her home town and the people who knew her for the defiant kid she’d been thus far. elizabeth decided to follow in her dad’s footsteps; she wanted to make a difference and help people, prevent them from making the same mistakes she had, or anything worse. she wanted to serve and protect. so, to start completely fresh, she applied and was accepted to the police academy in boston, where she eventually moved. she’s been living and working in the city for fourteen years now.

sO ya girl’s bisexual; after living in the city for 14 years, it’s safe to say she’s probably had her fair share of relations. most likely a couple exes, which either ended because she’s basically a workaholic OR because she isn’t the best person ever at talking about her Feelings OR she gets freaked out when things get too deep / serious OR a combination of everything ??? lmao yikes give me angst

possibly someone who either calls in to the department a lot and she’s somehow always the officer who ends up taking the call OR maybe someone who is known to the department ( bad bad ) and she’s dealt with them a few times. she could either sympathize and be trying to help them turn their life around, or they could absolutely despise each other for angsty fun

sO luana was born in a loving household, her parents had immigrated from colombia to florida just a few months prior to having her and her sibling (it’s a wc so i’m keeping it utp) and things were good. yes, they didn’t have any money or went out much, really -- she doesn’t know if the longing for her parents made her only have good memories of her childhood days or if it was the innocence she then held on to. spanish was her first language but sooner than later she was acting as a traslator to mr and mrs gonzales, school being where she learned all things english and all she knows is that she was happy-- until she wasn’t anymore. she was thirteen when her parents got deported and school was the worst. people wanted to know why she was living with the family that lived across them but she didn’t know how to explain... what was she supposed to say? they lost touch for a while, she learned later that her parents had been arrested prior to their arrival in colombia, and all she could feel was misery. although she would see her sibling every day in school, they were left with two different families so a part of her felt she had nothing left-- people always hinted that she was guilty of something and for a while she did blame herself for everything that went down-- for all the reasons her childlike mind could think of.

she had to learn to be independent at an early age, working and studying. and she knew she was good in school so she saw a way out in that. phone calls to her mother and father left her feeling even more motivated-- she would study and make money. they couldn’t come here so she would go there;; luana was the most grateful for the family that gave her a roof, at least she could keep the few dollars she made with the jobs she’d shuffle around. she graduated top of her class and got a scholarship to attend boston university, going to law school right after and specializing in medical law. luana made a name for herself, she’s known to never lose a case and not to mind much if she’s winning it for the right reasons,  sometimes (more often than not) represented the bad guys and big companies. of course, loads of self hate goes with it, luana doesn’t take pride of that part of her career. still, that was what managed to get her to place where she can visit her parents and family at least four times a year, taking all sorts of presents with her. and she’s not complaining about that. 

expecting to become a partner in the firm she works soon, luana added different paths to her line of work and been taking most of the family law cases, working extra hard, never afraid to play dirty now that she does represent the good guys too. catch her taking immigration cases pro-bono.

personality wise-- luana is that type to make most people talk. if she doesn’t win you by her charms, she’ll definitely tire you out and you’ll end up giving her what she wants. she’s got a way of listening that says she’s the most interested and most of the time, she really is. she loves talking to people and listening their ideas, more often than not listening way more than speaking. she just likes to learn, and if she’s a close friend, best believe she’ll go out of her way to get a smile out of you, sending you your favorite flowers or getting you that new item you mentioned you wanted. luana might come off a bit futile for those who don’t know her that much, she doesn’t get too deep with a lot of people, showing her vulnerable side-- the crying, insecure and self doubting mess she is sometimes.

best friend: the one she calls on the daily to discuss how was the latest episode of her telenovela and also talk about things she probably doesn’t with anyone else. she trusts them completely and are one of the few she lets see every side of her

friends w benefits: pretty self explanatory right?? but we can discuss on platonic feelings........ romantic feelings....... one sided stuff? or reciprocated?

exes: as much as i like agnst..... they could have broken up in good terms too!!

she was born lucy maddox into a pretty normal, middle class family but she had a twin (hayden maddox)

it wasn’t the case where the twins were inseparable or one overshadowed the other, they just weren’t very close because they wanted to be their own people since birth

their mom was a stay at home mom and their dad was a lawyer of some sort

when they were in hs their dad started to get clients who insisted they could bring him to the next level, which would mean that he’d make more than twice what he was already making so he took the opportunity without consulting his family

their mother was upset but she was a stay at home mom and she didn’t want to keep the girls from getting everything they could ever want

her twin sister sided with her dad which really didn’t help the whole... twins not getting along that well in the first place

so they were planning to move to connecticut but a week or so before they were supposed to leave there was a ...... mysterious fire caused by... the cops never figured it out....

anyway her sister died in the fire and her mom was somewhat injured but nothing permanent

hayden took her sister’s identity at first to try to make people think she was a bad person??? it was petty teenager shit really

but once her parents saw how she was acting after the fire, she was put in therapy for a whiiiiiiile which was where she learned how to really lie and convince people she was fine and that she was actually hayden

once she was off to college she decided to drop out without telling her parents, collecting their monthly allowance and using it to pay for the cute apartment she got

pretty soon after she started to strip, finding it to be therapeutic and fun most of the time but frustrating a tiny fraction of the time (not long enough for her to quit)

when she was around 20, her parents found out about her lies about college and cut her off, but by then she’d had enough money to afford to do pretty much whatever she wanted so she moved to boston

she looooves it here but she still doesn’t really open up to people unless she’s very very very close to them and has told absolutely no one about the whole “oops i killed my twin” thing
