I may not be singing the same tune by 5pm this coming Monday when I’m on the ward for the first time, but so far I’m so pleased and excited and grateful to be back in the NHS and working within mental health, putting into practice the theory I’ve learnt during my education and some of the physical health skills I’ve picked up during my time in oncology. My first week has been jam packed with inductions and training and admin and meeting new people and learning new things but it’s been utterly brilliant.
