OK. SO. I decided to give Durge another go, now that I know what more to expect. It's also helping that I made this new Durge a body type I do not relate to (feminine, girly), rather than playing as a character I do physically relate to and thinking such horrible thoughts about all these npc's I love.
I named this Durge Hera again, Drow, sorceror, white/frost dragon descended. She reminds me of a siren and very much of WoW's Frost Vrykul (who I 1000% melted over the first time I played Wrath of the Lich King). And I'm really starting to adore my Hera. Not for the dark urges, but for how I created her. And I am very much sticking to a Resist playthrough because I am, in fact, still a sissy and I don't like hurting npc's or their feelings.
And I am doing a poly run this time, so far I've gotten through the first part of Lae'bae's and Karlach's and Astarion's and Gale's romance starters. I managed to piss off Wyll (durge can't seem to stealthily Detect Thoughts like Tav can). I flirted with Mizora and will also be trying to boink her, IF I can make it through to act 3.
And I made a female Dream Guardian rather than a male like I did with my Tav. I'm so far not attached yet, whereas with my male drow dream guardian I loved from the start.
But I know there is a HUGE obstact coming up in Act 2, I'm nervous about it, I like Isobel, I love Aylin. I might end up coming back here to hyperventilate that I can't finish my new durge run after all. We'll see.
