“What if something goes wrong?”

“That’s not helping, Mark.”

“What if I’m a bad dad?”

“You couldn’t be even if you tried.”

“But like," 

"No, Mark." 

"But-”

“Nooooo.”

You couldn’t help but smile at the man standing in front of you, with his wide, chocolate brown eyes and concerned features. It had only been about a month into finding out you were pregnant, and that you two were going to have kids, and he was a nervous wreck. Shockingly, more nervous than you were.

“I’m just saying that,”

“Mark, I promise, everything will be okay.”  

Your hands found his cheeks gently, which were ablaze right now with the anxiety of it all. “It’s okay,” you hushed, a smile still on your face. He might have been nervous, but you had no doubts in your mind. 

Slowly, Mark released the tension in his shoulders, then the rest of his body as he blew out a gust of air in a sigh. “You’re right. I’m sorry." 

"Yah, don’t apologize, being parents is scary thought. I understand.” One of your thumbs grazed over his cheek in a soothing motion as his forehead came down to lean against yours. 

A small moment of silence passed as you two stood, you allowing him to calm down before he finally spoke again.

“I already told my parents and they said they’d help with everything, my mom will even send us clothes and baby stuff, okay, great, cool, I gotta go, I’m going to the studio!” With the biggest grin, Mark leapt away from you and grabbed his jacket, bursting out the front door.
