Confession

He’s so much nervous about confessing to you

But he does think about it seriously before doing so

He’s a busy man and he knows that a relationship with him will present its own challenges that you probably haven’t encountered yet

So when he realizes he likes you he takes a while to think it over

He ultimately decides he wants to be happy even if its work sometimes

And you make him happy

He does plan out his confession

He brings your favourite flowers

And take-out from your favourite restaurant

And he heads over to your apartment

When you open the door he’s leaning casually against the doorframe

He pulls the flowers out from behind him and hands them to you

“So I really like you. I’ve been thinking it over and I know I’m insanely busy but I still want to be with you and I have take out from your favourite place so why don’t we try this and see how it goes.”

You weren’t about to turn down the offer so you invited him in

The two of you had an impromptu and informal date watching kdramas, eating take out and laughing at dumb jokes

It feels comfortable and natural and you think that maybe this will work

The last thing he does before he leaves is gives you a kiss that has your head spinning and leaves you reeling for the next day

Butterflies

After a few dates he asks you to be his

It’s pretty casual

But he still takes a moment to gain your full attention before asking

He stares at you intensely while he waits for an answer

The moment loses all seriousness as he starts laughing at your flustered state

“Ah honey, you’re too cute.”

“Seriously though, I’m your boyfriend right?”

Most of your dates early on are at home

It’s hard to go out with such a famous boyfriend

And you both agree that waiting a little while to tell the fans is probably for the best

Still as soon as he officially asks you to be his he tells the other members

They are 0% surprised

“Hyung, you literally talk about her all the time”

“You go over to see her whenever you’re free”

“You really think we don’t know?”

Not like he was trying to keep it from them anyway

Just means he can make out cuddle with you while the others are around and they should just expect it

He does ask his company about the relationship

And by ask the company I mean he tells BigHit that he’s dating you, period

He always seems to be very relaxed with you

And as comfortable as being with him is you still get nervous at times

He doesn’t tell you this but he always has a faint feeling of butterflies in his stomach when you’re near

The Long Run

Much like when he asked you to be his partner he tells you he loves you

The setting and date is casual but he makes sure he has your full attention before he tells you

And just like when he became your boyfriend his intensity makes you flustered

You still manage to tell him you return his feelings

It takes it a while before you tell the fans

It’s the one thing he’s actually worried about

He loves you and you know that but he knows that it can be easy to get caught up in negative comments

And as much as he loves ARMYs he knows some of them won’t take the news well

He ends up doing so in a vlive and very sternly telling the fans to be nice to you

“I love them, I want to be with them, and I asked them out so be kind and show them they kind of love you show me.”

There are still some negative comments but you do see ARMYs sticking up for you which makes you happy

He doesn’t particularly like leaving you for tour

He knows you’ll be fine on your own and he trusts you

But he misses seeing you every day and the constant time zone changes make it hard to find time to chat

When he gets back he’s always just a bit cuddlier than when he left

You two lean on each other a lot

He knows that you may not understand or have experience with everything he’s going through

But you always listen and try it help him work through it

He likes that while you’re gentle you’ll also call him out

If he’s being unfair or unreasonable you have no problem letting him know and honestly he needs that

Its things like that that make him realize he really needs you

And that he really wants to be with you forever

He isn’t as casual about proposing

He puts a lot of thought into the ring and the setting

He gets a little carried away so the whole thing is very romantic and extra

You’re totally blown away by it all

But in the middle of everything is the man you love with all your heart asking you the easiest question in the world

• Will quietly judge you if you are to do anything even midly stupid. When he has successfully made you feel uncomfortable, he will then proceed to question why you're together. "Everyday I wonder, why am I still with you?" But by now you both know, it's nothing literal.

• Hates dates. He absolutely cannot stand those basic couply ones, and would rather just stay in. But if you ever convince him to go on a date, you will hear him complain and see him judge other couples shamelessly. He'll sigh loudly, "All this trying to eat food with three different forks and being proper is making me tired."

• He hates when you make him try new things that he actually ends up liking. He can be quite stubborn, and doesn't really like change. So he'll try to hide– and fail miserably– the fact that he actually likes this new change. "You're changing me... And I like it? You must be a wizard, get out of my house."

• He does not care if the other members tease him, but he LOVES napping with his head resting on your lap. Probably because sometimes you play with his hair, and it relaxes him. "She is my girlfriend and that means I can use her lap as my pillow and nobody can stop me."

• Will plot pranks with you. You're the only one he trusts when it comes to prank wars against him and the other members. You're kind of like his advisor.

• He can be very lazy at times and will make you do small chores for him. You've questioned whether he's only dating you to make you do his chores. And he shamelessly replied with a, "Maybe."
