And what Owain deducted from that was that it worked quite effectively and this is were the atleast once comes in mich to Arthurs horror and dismay

Also since Owain has often has a blank face, he just stares at whiever he was thrown at with his big ol bug eyes

I can’t tell you were this idea came from, but it has been stuck in my brain for weeks and now you get to know it too

Like yeah, six of the eight knights of the round table were only mentioned once in a list of names. But now Kay and Bedivere are married, Galahad is the one to knight Owain, Lancelot is an absent father, Gawain is a horse boy, Mordred is an alchemist, Tristan teaches Owain to play the lute, and Percival accidentally introduces Owain to the concept of paying penance to the gods.

I've already posted my notes about the knights of the round table from Arthurian legends so here are some of my notes from bannerfall!

Sir Lancelot:

Uncle, sort of

Absent father to Galahad so Owain doesn't like him very much

Introduces Owain to the Lady of the Lake

Elf

Teaches the squires about horses/jousting due to being the Queen's most beloved champion

The guy Owain's mum is cheating on his dad with so.

kind of an asshole

Galahad:

The closest person to an actual brother Owain has

Son of Lancelot, though he has never called Lancelot 'Father' or anything resembling familial

Cared for by Arthur as a son

Jem Finch and Scout Finch dynamic with Owain

He has insane beef with Mordred, but he's too mature to actually instigate anything

He did punch and break Mordred's nose once, but it was totally deserved

He is very devoted to the gods; not to the degree Owain becomes though

Best of the best of knights leading to even more animosity between himself and Mordred

Gawain:

Cousin of Owain and nephew of Arthur

Brother of Mordred and son of Morgause

Horse boy. Just cause mostly, I dunno

Respects the gods, but does not worship them leading to a bit of judgment from other knights

Loves his brother to some degree, but also holds fear for him

A bit hot tempered and can be a little shit sometimes

Sir Percival: 

Naive, but pure of heart

Teaches Owain about the Knight God

A bit of an oddball, but Owain enjoys his company

He doesn't like to talk a lot and neither does Owain, so he and Owain hang out/train together often (*cough* parallel play *cough*)

Autistic. I have no reason for this, but it feels like it fits

He's the reason the KotRT now how to communicate with and be gentle with Owain

Accidentally taught Owain to pay penance to the gods

Sir Tristan:

Bard, taught Owain the lute and harp

Almost never lost a fight

Archer, taught Owain all he knows of archery

Orphan like Owain

Doesn't connect with Owain very much, if at all due to Tristan's more melancholy and romantic personality

Owain much more of a realistic person, so they often butt heads

Sir Kay: 

Actual uncle

Adopted older brother of Arthur

Husband of Bedivere

Taken in by Uther similar to Owain taken in by Arthur so they can relate to each other on a deeper level than others

Royal advisor

Sarcastic and blunt, but still chivalrous

Very rogue like, much like young Owain

Has the oath of a knight, but is still a mage: going days without sleep, no need to breathe, growing as tall as a tree, radiating heat from his hands

Silly pranks and accidentally gets Owain in trouble for it (Mostly with Guinevere and Lancelot)

Sir Bedivere: 

Extremely trustworthy and often told many a-secret by his fellow knights

Uncle-in-law

Husband of Kay

One of the most reluctant to exile Owain due to how well he knows him

One of the only knights to question Owain's guilt and the first to pin it on Mordred

Lost his hand in a battle, but just as, if not stronger, than any other knight

Main blacksmith, taught Owain how to make both his sword and armor

King Arthur’s personal guard and then Owain's when he is adopted

Mordred:

Owain's cousin, but whenever that fact is brought up, he vehemently denies it even in front of both Owain and Arthur

Son of Morgause and older brother of Gawain

Can do some basic spells

Bullies not only Owain, but also his own brother and some adults

Treats servants like shit

He is disliked by a large amount of people in the castle, but no one says anything as to not upset Morgause

Alchemist and wannabe mage

Scared shitless of Galahad after he broke his nose when they were 10
