Survival is never sufficient.
Survival Is Insufficient: 'Station Eleven' Preserves Art After The Apocalypse : NPR
Definitely putting this book on my list. I remember writing about Primo Levi’s Survival in Auschwitz in college, and again in graduate school, and this idea, that survival is not all there is, became an important theme to me. I guess it’s the idea that there’s something that makes life worth living: the humanity of how we treat people, connections to people and the world around us, the art, the music... something that is required move us from survival to living.
