It starts with a poetic description of Haven, a peaceful barrier island, and the simple life of the people living there. Then a tragedy happens that changes the life of Mira Banul—so much loss and then something found in the middle of the rising tide of recovery, something she never thought she’s missing. Loved the twists, the revelations, and the drama towards the end. Loved the author’s creative, lyrical, and gripping way of describing such a calm life transitioning towards crumble. Loved the way it broke my heart but somehow left hope and so much love and appreciation. “One thing in this world isn’t replaceable is people.
