What about, instead of betas having neither alpha or omega traits, they have both? For example, they have heats and ruts, can be impregnated by others and can impregnate others?
Hello! That’d be great! Since Betas can be seen as just normal humans, but they are also their own dynamic!
If betas were to have both heats and ruts, oh gosh, best of luck to them. Makes me think if they were to go into heat they’d set off their own rut. That’d be tough. However, logically won’t happen, they will just cause others to go into heat/rut.
For Heats and Ruts, some HC I’ve read, they do have those. They just aren’t as often as an Omega’s heat. And to go into a Rut, it is a more slow process, it wouldn’t be as sudden as an Alphas. But, in the end, they still experience them.
Situation example: An near by Omega goes into heat. Alphas react first, then Betas. I suppose you can say they have a little bit more self control.
Betas do share both Alpha and Omega traits. Such as:
Giving off certain smells/scents when feeling certain emotions.
Maybe Betas won’t nest, but they do have favorite spots. For example: in my HC, they enjoy cooking and thus maybe like being in the kitchen more.
They are territorial, they scent people and items just like other dynamics. They just aren’t easy to physical fighting or tears.
Some headcanons I’ve come across Betas can be impregnated and can impregnate others!! Granted, it seems to mostly focus on Female Betas being impregnated and Male Betas being able to impregnate others. Really depends on your AU.
Though, let us say, both genders of Betas can do both. Maybe, it will be harder for a Male Beta to become pregnant. And if a Female Beta were to impregnate another dynamic their click would be like a retractable dick, just like Female Alphas.
