This is Beta/Concept Dib and he does not get enough attention. He is the earliest Dib that Jhonen ever drew, earlier than Pilot Dib.
In the Pixelatl interview, Jhonen reveals this boy along with other never before seen concept art and he says that he had to scrap this design because he looked to similar to Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory. (So I headcanon that as his personality)

The first concept art of Dib. Heās a scientist prodigy with an interest in aliens, Heās kinda like Dexter from Dexterās Laboratory according to Jhonen, so he changed him so he could stray away from that. Not a lot of information, he is probably a little bit like the other Dibs, just slightly more rational from the way he poses here. (I love the little XP thing heās doing, thatās a very Dib thing to do)Ā
Pilot DibĀ
Feral, chaotic and agressively mean-spirited,Ā āScared of bEAnSSSS, ssPACE BOI?!ā is the best and most quotable thing Dib has ever said in the franchise. Heās the least patient of the Dib variations, he is way more selfish and abrasive to people around him than any other incarnation. I think the show bibleĀ reflectās this Dibās personality. Heās definitely a lot more arrogant and edgy here too.Ā
Series Dib
The one everyone is the most familiar with, he is less meaner and arrogant than the last Dib and probably a lot more pathetic and calmer. He goes through a lot of change in the series, starting out less edgy than his predecessor but slowly becoming more like his later versions. Heās shown to be annoying, abrasive, sadistic and much more obsessive to the point he comes off as rude and crazy to most people around him. And BOY is he much crazier. He is the main antagonist of the show. However, we can still empathize with his actions and still see him as the hero.Ā
Movie Dib
Cutest version, the softest and most emotionally sensitive of the Dibs. He acts less like a serious and angry edgy outcast and more like a child with a passion for the paranormal and daddy issues that he lets get to him at times. He and his family get along a lot better though, and he is a lot more capable of showing empathy and remorse than Series Dib. (Not that there werenāt times Series Dib didnāt feel sorry for someone, and Movie Dib still does act selfishly throughout the movie)Ā
He can also be referred as Comic Dib too, since Movie Dib is more based off the comics than the show. (Or not as the plot for the comics are different and separate from the movieās timeline.)Ā

Irken Dib
Dib in this au is an irken, usually a scientist who is related to Professor Membrane (one of the tallest) and Gaz (either a SIT unit he owns or another irken in this au) that ends up going to earth to do research or invade earth. He ends up learning about paranormal stuff and begins focusing some of his studies on that while also dealing with this annoying arrogant rebel kid at skool named Zim, and his dumb brother Gir who knows heās an alien.Ā
Role Swap
Dib and Gaz switch personalities and roles in this au, with Dib acting like Gaz who is his annoying paranormal investigator sister and is always pestering him about stupid Tak being an alien. He could care less since he thinks sheās not as competent as other invaders like Zim. Heās much more apathetic and chilled out, he probably likes the same things Gaz does like video games and pizza.Ā
Personality SwapĀ
Almost like the role swap, except only their interests and roles stay the same. Dib is a much more successful paranormal investigator and is much more focused on his business then caring about Gazās annoying and meaningless competitive video game rivalry with Tak. Zim is still better than Tak, but he loves himself much more and his robots are still much more efficiant compared to Takās. Gaz drags Dib along to watch her embarrass Tak while also stopping her from taking over the earth, Dib only helps ocassionally but cares more about stopping Zim since he poses a much more serious threat than she does.Ā
