How to deal with feeling stuck, confused and exhausted? “When life becomes too complicated and you feel overwhelmed, it’s often useful just to stand back and remind yourself of your overall purpose, your ultimate goal. When faced with a feeling of stagnation and confusion, it is helpful to take an hour, an afternoon, or even several days to simply reflect on what it is that will truly bring you happiness and satisfaction, and then reset your priorities based on that. This will put your life back in proper context, allow a fresh perspective, and enable you to see which direction to take.” - Dalai Lama (Art OF Happiness) #selfhelpbooks #booksofig #nonfictionbooks #bestbooksever #bookwormlife #readingtime #bookhighlights #personaldevelopment #readersofinstagram #readreadread #mustread #books #indianbookstagrammer #readthisbook #bookaddict #indianbookstagrammer #indianbookblogger #bookstagramindia #selfhelpquotes #booknotes #bookhighlights #bookaddiction #bookrec #bookexcerpts #dalailama #newyearnewme #2023goals https://www.instagram.com/p/Clk3RAzPI_M/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I’m listening to “Shadows in Death” by J. D. Robb. This quote is at the beginning and the beautiful phrasing with layered metaphor struck me. 😶I had to share. 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤓 Have you read the “In Death” series by J. D. Robb (a.k.a. @norarobertsauthor )? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you have, feel free to geek out with me. It is one of my favourite series of all time. I listened to all of the books (I think) and Susan Erickson is the greatest narrator of all time! 😍 I always saw Eve Dallas as Stana Katić, I cannot even guess who would play Roarke. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I keep hoping @netflix would get the series made. I would love to work on that team. 🥰 They could take a few episodes per book to really get all the goodness out of each one. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #quoteoftheday✏️ #in death #shadows #life #bestbooksever https://www.instagram.com/p/CF-r_f2D9Dp/?igshid=7xsce8c2msn1

Mikael Blomkvist - the main character of the saga, is a journalist whose career hangs in the balance after he was sentenced to three months of prison for defamation. The one way to save his position is to write an outstanding journalistic reportage. The access to information is held by Henrik Vanger, who in exchange for allowing it, tells Blomkvistowi to solve the case of murder of his niece, Harriet. A genius hacker - Lisbeth Salander helps him unravel the mystery of 1966.
The whole story of investigation is interwoven with many intrigues, which take the reader through more than 600 pages of the novel without ever getting bored. In addition, the rich descriptions of places where the action is set, especially Stockholm and Hedestad, make it easy for a the reader to refer to these events in the real world.
Karl Stig-Erland "Stieg" Larsson (15 August 1954 – 9 November 2004) was a Swedish journalist and writer. He is best known for writing the Millennium trilogy of crime novels, which were published posthumously, starting in 2005, after the author died suddenly of a heart attack. The trilogy was adapted as three motion pictures in Sweden, and one in the U.S. (for the first book only). The publisher commissioned David Lagercrantz to expand the trilogy into a longer series, which has six novels as of September 2019. For much of his life, Larsson lived and worked in Stockholm. His journalistic work covered socialist politics and he acted as an independent researcher of right-wing extremism.
