Way I see it, bein’ open’s a helluva lot better!”

--- “Kendou..” He was getting annoyed again. They were never going to agree on this, were they? “It is not keeping secrets. Normal people do not tell others about these things !” There are boundaries. There is honesty and then there is oversharing.

Please invent a tracking device so I can stick it on ya when you’re not looking. It would make everyone’ life easier.

I THINK WE'RE FRIENDS? MAYBE?

He was used to a good haul around this time of the year, but this… Kendou blinked, trying to make sense of what he was seeing. The salt wind sent his wild mane whipping around his face, he had to shake it out of his eyes. Despite the sleek, silver-scaled body, this was no fish after all. A mermaid? Or rather, merman? “SHITE. NOW HERE’S SOMETHIN’ YA DON’T SEE EVERY DAY!”

--- The sway of the net hanging in the air, being swung side to side from the boat following the ocean’s movements was making him nauseous. Ironic, really, that a merman wouldn’t have ‘sealegs’ so to speak.

   Finally his eyes were getting used to the above-water world, and blotches became figures, figures finally got faces. Two-legged... He hissed at him, though by now he knew better than to move frantically in these entanglements. He knew the language these creatures spoke, but he’d always heard it didn’t matter what you said to them.

He tears excitedly into the gifts. The wrapping was lovely, but gift wrap was made to be *demolished*. “WOW LOVE, THESE ARE GREAT!” The shampoo smelled amazing, and those boots… “I’LL WEAR THESE LIKE, ALL TH’ TIME!” He scoops the smaller man up, peppering kisses across his face. “THANK YOU!!!” Oops, he forgot to turn down the volume…

--- Kendou’s excitement tended to make him need those noise cancelling headphones. Or his mask, but he was not very likely to be wearing that around Kendou { for intimacy purposes }. He was beginning to feel as though there was pressure between his eyes. The press of Kendou’s lips against his face was adding to the overstimulation, so he pressed his palms to his cheeks and stilled is head. “I am glad you like them, but... please quiet down.”

“Nah! I mean, I yell sometimes… I can’t help bein’ loud. But I thought these’d jus’ be all around useful!” He grins down at the other, pulling him closer. “I knew ya’d love ‘em!”

--- Truly thoughtful. To think that Hekiji when they first met had initially thought the ruffian couldn’t care about anything but fighting and food... And here he was, going out of his way to make life a little easier on him; obviously caring about him.

"Yer a cruel man." He didn't even bother trying to sit up yet, lightly bumping the other's forehead. He should move, should do *something*. But his limbs still felt like dead weight. "Coffee. In a bit..." His arm was still slung over Hekiji, with little intent of moving it.

--- “Undoubtedly.” He replied bemusedly. 

   Typical... Hekiji couldn’t help smiling though. He would be lying if he said he minded snuggling. He would have liked Kendou to be in tiptop shape though. Kendou’s arm was a comfortable weight atop him, keeping him snug in his covers and against his boyfriend.
