do you think that book is the type to overcompensate? i feel like she would. it's kind of a bad habit that dies hard. i imagine in freesmart, she always had to prove she was a loyal member of the group. even if she was in a better friend group (just not) she still feels the need to over compensate because she feels like she owes her new friends favors and that she wants to prove she's a better friend.

at least by tpot i feel like it wouldn't even be something she thinks about consciously anymore, or rather something she needs to unlearn. subconsiously what she views as acceptable to give to someone is so out of proportion and it eats at her. a lot of pouring all of herself into her gifts or apologies (not in the good way) and wondering why that's drained her for the rest of the day

- One manipulates Book into signing the deal by threatening her with her powers, by showing her a reality where everything is the same but without her existing, starting with BFDIA and Freesmart. (Aswell as messing with her memories when it wasnt working fast enough)
- The deal was probably made because Book can manipulate reality with her pages by editing definitions. (That one plate episode, forgot the number) One could have a use for that in future :)

i feel like the only way one could convince book on her own merits, something she can fix (basically more like the fanny or basketball or gaty deals rather then bell or bomby type. the latter is more similar to what you describe where she can literally erase book from the timeline and all) would be if she got there immediately during tpot 10 or so, as thats when book has her revelations that she can be a good person. i love the idea of one, before that, probing her and making her fall into those insecurities that the tpot 10 nightmare resolved, but THIS IS A GREAT IDEA TOO… erasing her just after she finally feels good about herself post bfb is so real
