I kinda feel like there isn't much to say about him.  He's loud, obnoxious and witchy.  His parents were emotionally abusive, he ran away from home at 14, developed an unhealthy obsession with fire and got himself locked up for arson. Once he got out he kinda just drifted all over Tamriel as a murder-hobo.  Lived off the land, communed with Forsworn hedge mages, that sort of thing.  I also feel like he could have been part of a witch coven in High Rock for some time.  Essentially, he's styled as a Pyromancer from Dark Souls. Most of the time he's pretty two-dimensional in my mind.  He'll occasionally show a bit of depth though, particularly his interactions with Deleras or Genevieve.  His confidence is pretty fragile, and he tends to pick fights with people out of jealousy. Deleras managed to bring him out of it a little, though.  The old elf's like a father to him.  He even managed to call Genevieve out on some of her dickish behavior when the time came for them to perform the Destruction Ritual for Faralda.  But that's another story.
