The Pack
In honor of Bernie the Bully, I wrote the following drabble.

There wasn’t much that Rollo could remember from his time before. Before his human found him and gave him a home that is. But the one thing that he would never forget was the bond of friendship.
Prior to finding his place at Fraser’s Ridge, Rollo lived a rough (no pun intended) life. Never with a place to call his own, he traveled from place to place. Always on the lookout for his next meal. Which is where he met some of the best friends a dog could ever ask for.
Bernie and Shadow.
Upon their initial meeting, the three became inseparable. They always had each other's backs, were stuck together like glue. Having more than one set of eyes was a definite plus when it came to hunting. Bernie and Shadow were always on the lookout for Chipmunks and Squirrels. They were natural enemies as you could understand.
Rollo would never forget his buds. Even when Ian came along. Ian was great, but there would always be a special place in his heart for his friends.
And every once in a while, when he was feeling nostalgic, you could find Rollo standing outside, howling towards the sky. Hoping that one day he would hear the return call of his pack.
