【ブランド解説】 アントワープ最後の天才といわれ、ビョークの衣装も手掛けたデザイナーBernhard Willhelm(ベルンハルト ウィルヘルム)。 アントワープにおいてベルン以前、以後と指標にされる程、後進のデザイナーに影響を与えた。 在学中から「Alexander McQUEEN」や「Vivienne Westwood」、「Dirk Bikkembergs(ダーク ビッケンバーグ)」、「Walter Van Beirendonck(ウォルター ヴァン ベイレンドンク)」等、多くのデザイナーの下で経験を積む。 中でもW＆LTからはアントワープの後継者として絶大なる信頼を得ている。 近年のインスタレーション等は、もはや現代芸術として認められている。Vivienne Westwoodの1980年代初期のブランド「Worlds End」のパターンをポール ポワレへのオマージュと共に進化させた彼のパターンはオリジナリティに溢れている。 「Worlds End」に関しては様々な若手デザイナーがオマージュに挑戦しているが、ベルン程の完成度は類を見ない。
