Table lamp Mantis BS3, designed by Bernard Schottlander, edited by DCW éditions
One of the Bernard Schottlander 3B Series of abstract sculptures which can be found in a centrally located park in Milton Keynes. In the background you can see Christ The Cornerstone (multi-denominational) church and the cross atop of the church is itself an art sculpture. City Church Cross, 1991, by Alan Evans. It is made of 8 blades of steel, bound together to create one whole cross which can be viewed 360 degrees; it signifies different individual denominations coming together to make a new whole, which at the same time retaining their individual identities. Photo taken using an Xperia Z3, April 2016.
