Doing this in an ask bc I don't want to make it a thing where everyone can see(though you can publish this if you want) but I have to pretty vehemently disagree with you on the "Castle as a feminist" thing. Feminism is about equality and ensuring everyone receives equal treatment and Castle most certainly does that on many levels. I don't disagree that the show has never made a thing of it and the character has never explicitly stated it but there seems to be a lot of evidence to support it.
my whole point was:
