“…A ‘let’s play’?” Berdly questioned. He had only a vague idea of what that was, thanks to the internet and a constant thirst of knowing things he didn’t already know led him to likely google it at some point. What he most got from it was that it was when a person played an online game and recorded their reactions. Frankly, he didn’t see the interest in doing that.

“Hm. Well, I suppose it depends.” He shrugged, “Why exactly are you asking me?”

there was a shrug at the question. “Never really done an LP alone before, and it’s not a game Susie would like. story-driven with poems and stuff.” those hands were shoved into a pocket., fiddling with something in there. 

Another day, another patrol. Chara walked the stone streets of Riremire on patrol as usual. Still a bit chuffed at her status as one of the first humans to join the royal guard successfully... and with the appearance of the MOBs, everyone who could hold their own in a fight was invaluable.

To that end most of the royal guard was composed of MOB hunters these days. Just as well. It was important work and good pay. Kept the roads clear and safe, and was a good way to let out a load of aggression without gaining any LV.

Things really had changed quite a bit since she’d fallen underground. Or perhaps they’d already been changing before that and she was just so dead set on her goal that she hadn’t noticed.

Either way it was a brave new world ever since the barrier broke, and humans had very little room to complain about the presence of monsters anymore. At the very least they were a step up from MOBs and their magic was invaluable in a fight against the strange beings.

Several years had passed since the barrier first broke. Walking across the redish stone bridge that linked the two halves of the settlement, Chara reflected on the journey that had lead to this point. She’d been around 16 at the time. She was 23 now. How time flies. 

“…I am concerned and have several questions about that, but I also don’t want to know.”
