"Benjamin!" Angelie greets the man with a large bear hug, as though she hasn't seen him in years, instead of less than a week. Should she be in the employee break room? Probably not, as a server at the local diner, but it's the one rule Angelie has grown up never knowing to apply to herself. This hospital has been a little bit her home since she was little, and she still visits nearly every other day to gift the staff baked goods and her mother lunch. Speaking of... Angelie holds out a meal prep container. "Do you like eggplant parmesan? Mom said I should offer it to you because she loved yesterday's so much but already ate." If she loved it... well, it's silly she forgot they had lunch plans today!
Angelie's face turns sympathetic as she remembers the other reason she's been hoping to run into Benjamin. She takes a seat at one of the tables and pats at the chair beside her. "... You know you can talk to me about anything, right? How are you handling navigating... everything?" There isn't the slightest recollection of Benjamin's being in the Trial and she doesn't have any idea if anything's going on in his personal life. No, to Angelie, the issue is blatantly obvious. She'd accidentally mentioned Beverly's engagement to her mom while he was walking past last week and he must be heartbroken.
