"Everything will be okay."
Send “everything will be okay” to take care of my injured muse.
“Fuck… Everything… fucking hurts… Damn them… They broke my mask too…” Jack gasped for breath, clutching his chest in agony as his gas mask dangled loosely from his face. The boy limped helplessly across a junkyard, not in any particular direction or destination as he had fled in the spur of the moment from a fight in fear of being killed. He needed to get immediate medical attention, but the nearest underground clinic that he knew of was too far away.
The young subordinate of the demon slowed to a crawl, his strength waning. It was only through sheer willpower that he could even move but Jack was reaching his limit. His lungs burned of the toxic, polluted air, his bones had been fractured, his flesh had been lacerated. The best he could even do was use the few bandages he had on him to tend to his wounds that needed immediate attention. But that could only do so much. The bleeding hadn’t stopped completely and several bones in his rib cage had definitely been crushed.
Exhausted and in pain, Jack could walk no longer, allowing himself to slump against a pile of debris, nearly drifting into unconsciousness. As much as he wanted to power through with all of his might, he simply did not have the energy.
I refuse to die here. I can’t die here. This is not… where I am going to die.
Survival mantra aside, the white-haired boy truly did fear that, if he didn’t get any medical treatment, he could die right there.
