Effective employer recruiting using Green Chalk Flagship
As employers continually search for candidates to fill jobs and internships, the frustration and management of the process continually builds. Below we looked at a few items for campuses to consider.
What's on the mind of employers when engaging campuses for recruitment purposes?
1. It's Not One System: Employers have numerous campus/employer portals they manage and must continually keep their profiles and postings updated.
2. Filtering Requests & Apps: As the employer posts positions on numerous job boards, the flood of student resumes and communication starts. Student verification becomes challenging.
3. Real-Time Data: Employers are asking to search through more than just snapshot data and comb through template student resumes.
4. Live Student Data Nationwide: Employers want to funnel a candidate based on live data prior to attending a job fair on campus. The landscape as it is now, builds on regional groups that don't span beyond the state.
5. Breakdown in Communication: Employers are receiving surveys and request for new hire data from campuses. In most cases, the career office on campuses is lagging behind notification of the new hire and the assessment. In some cases, the career office and the assessment is a separate function and they may share this data occasionally in administrative meetings.
Here's what our Flagship app is doing to bend the curve for employers
1. Post Positions/Internships: Flagship allows all employers to post jobs and internships. This would be the most familiar component for employers.
2. Proactively Recruit: Employers that want to proactively recruit for positions, can use our live funnel to find the candidate with specific skills and demographic information. Once prospective candidates are determined, the employer uses the communication and engagement tools before attending a campus job fair.
3. Verified Students: Flagship is permission based, so viewing 10,000 student data points requires acceptance by the student. This is done within Flagship. All students are verified so there's no need to worry if it's a student.
4. Employer Assessments: To assist the campus in their research endeavors, the employer assessment surveys and feedback loop is built-in to Flagship. The comprehensive 10 category review is shared with the campus departments to shape program outcomes. Follow-ups as needed are also included. This allows the entire campus to standardize the collection of data.
5. Scheduling: Through Flagship, the campus can notify the employer on scheduled events such as job fairs, recruiting seminars, etc.
7. Biometrics: For specialized positions, Green Chalk is moving toward a few biometric add-on options (background checks, fingerprinting) for employers. This will eliminate the time lag for the decision makers.
8. Tuition/Salary Analysis Reporting: Green Chalk is able to provide the campus comparative analysis on tuition and salary data for new hires. Long view trends can shape your recruitment policies.
