I'm not sure what your definition of "worth the while" is, unfortunately, so I can't give any specific recommendations. The pages linked there are trying a couple of different things, though, from making fakemon meant to be used in Pokémon Tabletop Adventures to prehistoric focuses, so you might find something you like there.
