Favorite clothing style/outfit: As long as it’s comfy and looks good on her, she doesn’t care - although she does have an abundance of tank tops. 

Defining gestures/movements (i.e., curling his or her lip when he or she speaks, always keeping his or her eyes on the ground, etc): She walks with a constant bitch face on. Whether she’s actually pissed or she has rbf syndrome is still up for question. Her walking pace is pretty fast too for no reason, just a habit

Speaking style (fast, talkative, monotone, etc): She swears a lot and most of the time sounds hostile even if she didn’t mean to be. 

Pet peeves: People bringing up the topic about her magic - just don’t do it. Her fire magic not being in control. Being denied of booze. 

Fondest memory: One time, when the twins were much younger - All her siblings got together and spent the weekend in a fort made of bedsheets and pillows. Ren really enjoyed everyone just being together in one place even if it was just for the weekend that one time.

Family (describe): The Velazquez is.. one of a kind. They were never subtle to begin with; everything they do often blew up dramatically in the end. There was mama Velazquez, the stepdad and four children who all had their own sass and attitude. Needless to say, they were pretty hard to tame. 

Deepest, darkest secret: When she was younger, she didn’t like the fact that she was a twin. Kids were often fascinated by the fact that they were twins and often compared the two with each other, which only made Ren want to stray away from all of that. There were a few years when she resented being a twin and was trying her best to just separate from Diego, thinking that it’d be the most efficient way to be an unique individual. 

Reason he or she kept this secret for so long: She realized how dumb it was and she’d never want to let Diego know about that because she didn’t want to lose him. Ren may not be vocal about it, but she loves Diego and couldn’t imagine life without him around.

Strange or unique physical attributes: Kieran has a scar just below her right eyebrow from a childhood incident, and she as multiple tattoos including: a feather on her right side, the outline of a Batman logo on her right wrist, a heartline and the words ‘just live’ on her left clavicle, an image of birds escaping a cage with the cage on her left forearm and the birds on her right, and her favorite piece is a cherry blossom that extends down the left side of her back and wraps around to the front of her left hip

Favorite clothing style/outfit: Dark skinny jeans(from the guys section because she likes pockets), long sleeved cotton shirts, simple t-shirts, baseball shirts, plaid button downs, has a closet full of Converse shoes she’s received as a gift

Fondest memory: Sixth grade science fair. Her parents dropped her off but refused to stay (too many humans), but Mama V showed up with the Velzquez clan in tow and cheered her on when she won. It’s what she hangs on too when the deep sense of loneliness starts to seep in.

Hobbies/interests: Kieran loved messing with technology even when not on the clock. If it’s got wiring or runs off preset code, she’s likely taken it apart at least once. She also picked up drumming while in rehab The psychiatrist there suggested it as a means to channel her anxiety.

Special skills/abilities: Kieran is a fully trained deputy that also specializes in IT work for the department town. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. Kieran is also a witch and a seer, the powers associated with the latter were bound by her parents and only became unbound on her 25th birthday. As far as she’s concerned, they suck

Family (describe): If she had to succinctly describe her parents, she’d say they were the Malfoys of Fort Belmount. They were never affectionate in any manner, and her father tended to be loud and easily upset. He was only physical as a form of punishment, and her mother rarely did anything but emphasize it was her own fault for not doing as he wished. Kieran stopped speaking to them long ago, and even left town right after graduation high school to avoid an arranged marriage

Deepest, darkest secret: While at MIT, her then girlfriend, Dylan Waldorf, got her addicted to clonazepam (in a bid to help her sleep and relax). When Dylan’s drug ring got busted she almost went down with the lot. She managed check into rehab and avoid jail time by acting as the DA’s key witness against Robert Waldorf. Quinn Prentiss knows, because as her boss, she has access to this information in her personnel file

Reason he or she kept this secret for so long: There’s the shame of knowing what she allowed herself to become all because she was starving for affection and someone used that to play her, but there’s also the fact that she doesn’t want anyone she cares about being too involved for fear the Waldorfs may come after them

Favorite bands/songs/type of music: Kieran is a very lyrically focused person. As long as the lyrics resonate, she’ll like it.

Fondest memory:  One of the very few memories she has of her mom. Artie was four, and Dhani was getting to the worst bit of her illness, but she still decided to make a day of it and took Artie out to Belmount park and taught her how to play soccer (a feat for a toddler)

Hobbies/interests: Artie enjoys creative outlets, and used to devote quite a bit of time to music (along with pal Ari) but set all that aside in favor of focusing on work and school

Special skills/abilities: Artie has innate abilities she inherited from her father, a faerie she’s never met. She isn’t clear on what it all entails, but so far she’s noted an ability to affect plants and the fact she turns invisible when under high duress

Family (describe): Artie lost her mother when she was four, and was raised by her Great Aunt Deeva McAllister. Aunt Deeva refrains from ever speaking ill of Dhani, Arit’s mom, but the faerie has been able to piece that her mother wasn’t necessarily a straight-laced lady. Artemis is very much attached to her aunt, knowing that the widow has worked far and beyond what she should’ve just to give he the best chance at a normal life.

Reason he or she kept this secret for so long: Her mother’s story was a bit of a cautionary tale against keeping secrets. She fell ill, left behind a young child, burdened an elder relative, and to top it off, now the kid has no idea what to do about the powers they received from some faceless dude

Favorite bands/songs/type of music: She’s a big fan of alt-rock and indie music. Her favorite band ever is The Juliana Theory, but she’s been known to listen to just about anything as long as the sound is god

Best thing that has ever happened to this character: Aunt Deeva stepping up to take her in when she was four. Had the widow declined, she’d have gone into the system and would’ve been even further up a creek with regards to her magic

Worst thing that has ever happened to this character: The death of her mother. Though the woman was a good mother, she died taking all sorts of secrets with her to her grave. Her death and the choices that led to them have impacted Artie’s entire life and continues to do so even now

Strange or unique physical attributes: has a scar from when her appendix burst and had to be removed, she can roll her tongue into the three waves, has two dimples etched into her lower back/base of spine

Favorite clothing style/outfit: Button downs tucked into her jeans, blazers, converse or ankle boots, jumpers, the occasional hoodie - always has her sleeves rolled up

Defining gestures/movements (i.e., curling his or her lip when he or she speaks, always keeping his or her eyes on the ground, etc): has a left sided tilt to her mouth when she speaks and smiles, always chewing on something, nose scrunches when she tries to prevent herself from shouting at someone

Speaking style (fast, talkative, monotone, etc): Normally paced, slight Irish twang to her words, sometimes stutters

Pet peeves: MILLER AND THE GODDAMN PRINTER, adults being rude to children, the supernatural being feared, bullying, arrogance, entitlement - the list is technically endless

Fondest memory: When she was five, she got to ride in the front seat of her father's police car. She absolutely loved the experience and cried with joy when he let her wear his badge for the day. It was then that Quinn decided to grow up and be just like her dad - a concept that she's still trying to achieve to this very day. It was the compassion and willingness to roll his sleeves up during that day that inspired Quinn to do the same, he shaped her entire belief system in that one day and it'll be a day that she'll never forget

Family (describe): Quinn's family are as close as one could be -- well, they were until David Prentiss was killed. After that, things fell apart and the family went their separate ways; Quinn went back to NYC for her job, the mother moved across the country and the sister stayed in Belmount. They were divided and unable to pick up the pieces and make everything fit together again. Quinn loves her sister and mother deeply, but she sometimes doesn't know how to talk to them because she had been so overwhelmed with the death of her hero that she took it out on those closest to her and she is still struggling with that to this day

Deepest, darkest secret: Quinn is gay. She knew she felt differently when she was as young as eleven but never really understood why - it wasn't until she was in high school that things began to change and her eyes were opened to an entirely new world. A world that she instantly rejected and ran from. She told no one and never acted upon it and, to this day, she has yet to come out to herself or to anyone close to her

Reason he or she kept this secret for so long: She's ashamed of herself - not because she's gay, but because of how long she's allowed herself to hide in the shadows, and because her father died before she was fully able to tell him what she was - and because he died before she could open up to him about everything, she just completely shut down and ignored it instead

Favorite bands/songs/type of music: A lot of her music taste is inherited from her father, so she's into a lot of Irish folk music and some good ol' country - she also likes some modern artists like Lady Gaga, Lady Antebellum and Switchfoot

Best thing that has ever happened to this character: Graduating in the top percentile of her class at the NYPD police academy and walking straight into a job afterwards, she's been incredibly lucky when it comes to her career and can only keep building on the momentum of such progress, but graduating and finally becoming a real police officer like she had always dreamed of being was and is probably the best thing to ever happen to her

Worst thing that has ever happened to this character: Finding out her father died during a celebration for a colleague's birthday. She received a phonecall from her mother asking her to come back to Montana because there had been an 'accident' and that everything will be explained when she got back. Except, this was Quinn and she had to know absolutely everything so her mother was forced to tell her daughter that her father had been murdered by someone who deliberately set fires around the town, killing several others in the process. Quinn doesn't remember the rest of the night or how she even got back to Montana because, the next thing she can recall, is standing at his grave after him being buried - that part of her life is the biggest blur ever

Reason he or she kept this secret for so long: Everything that happened back in Dallas led her into a deep depression that she almost didn’t see her way out of, and would like to avoid a repeat at any cost

Favorite bands/songs/type of music: She’s become a big fan of the Carter Family, her favorite song is Will the Circle be Unbroken, and though she can enjoy any type of music, country holds a special place
