5. How would you describe your style?

Definitely wordy... I always try to give each character their own voice. And I like to plan where my story is going before I actually write it, which means beat sheets, outlines, power points, or whatever I think works best at the time. I tend to focus a lot of feelings and driving the plot forward.

4. what was your favourite tv show as a kid?

when i was younger i was OBSESSED with Madeline. that french tv show about the orphans??? that was my favorite thing in the world. also johnny and the sprites. that shit slapped. give me my childhood shows back 😠

20. weapon of choice in a medieval battle

such a question at 8 am, uh. maybe. uh. a sword? i don’t.. i don’t know i sword i guess??? i think i’d be more of a throwing axes gal but i don’t know what weapons they HAD then. idk?????

23. default font when typing?

in my google docs i’ve recently have been using the same font from AO3 because it helps me write better!! sometimes i use arial if i’m feeling basic. i need to spice it up again though bc when i tried to write before i had all this work scheduled i was NOT a working good. 

2. How do you spend your time when it comes to fanfiction? Are you primarily a fic reader, writer, or a perfect 50/50 split of both?

recently i’ve been more of a reader! i’ve been reading A LOT on my trip when i had the data (not good for the phone bill.. don’t get me started) but usually when i’m not in the woods for a week, i write more than i read just because i’m so scared of unintentionally taking someone’s plot! but i do read when i see things on my dash that catch my eye or people i’m subscribed to update because i’m not a HEATHEN 

5. What are your fanfic pet peeves? Do they have a huge effect on whether or not you decide to read something?

spacing. general formatting things. i’m extremely picky about certain things, which i dislike mainly because most of the fics i do come across are highly recommended but i just CAN’T because of the formatting. i also dislike seeing the wrong your’s (i.e. your shaking, you’re glasses, things like that) back to back?? like, i sound like a bitch saying this probably but it’s my peeves okay

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

usually it’s.. it’s a five? maybe? idk, it can be! for my waitress au it’s definitely a 10. certainly a 10, because i get to the main outline of the plot and then go feral because i think of an idea for stucky in the fic plot.. it’s.. it’s bad my mind can’t focus on the main characters. but at times if i really buckle down and know what i want, it’s at least a two to three!

44. Rant about something writing related.

feedback. we all know what i’m about to start on. (belle you just opened a whole can of worms) for most writers, feedback is the highlight of our day. it’s our favorite part of the writing process.

recently, i took a break for the week because of no data, which is completely true. i was in GA in the mountains, i have the photos. but i also took it because my inspiration has just been 6 feet under the ground. i’m a person who strives off feedback. you give me an inch, i rush so far ahead i do a mile, maybe even a mile and a half. i recall a fic i wrote (tough luck series aka him/her/they/them series from like.. 2019) in about a week. i hauled ass because of feedback. YOUR feedback made me excited to write. YOUR feedback made me get all of these ideas in a few minutes or hours flat and write them out within the day.

so, with this information, YOUR feedback could be critical to someone’s writing process.

now i understand the constant struggle to comment. i do. i try my best to comment when i feel up to it, but i don’t comment on fics as much as i, a fic writer who talks about this topic, should. i feel terrible admitting it, but this is coming from someone who used to lurk as a reader. it’s just... i can’t find the proper words. 

feedback is an amazing thing a writer could get in their day. at times, when writers (well, for me at the very least) don’t get feedback, it can feel like you’re just being asked over and over again for content with every request that is sent to you. it can get tiring. writing takes A LOT out of some people, because they pour so much emotion and time into it and they just feel like it’s all been wasted when they barely get any acknowledgement on what they’ve done.

i’m not going to carry on too much, i already feel like my point of this is getting all jumbled up due to my not so good day at work and my still existent sleepiness from the week i just had. i could truly go on about how i’ve been feeling about my writing but i’d rather not, since you’d have me here for far too long.

but please know writers would love nothing more than your key smashes, your screams, your squeals, your laughter, your tears, your words (or lack thereof) rather than nothing. we love nothing more than to know that we’ve made your night, day, or week. hell, we’d lose our shit if you even asked us a question about our work.

we would love anything over nothing.
