Celina Aderson, my Hogwarts RPG character and the character that adorns my profile page, is quite interesting in the fact that her patronus (once she is old enough to cast it) is not just a cat; it's a litterbox of kittens.

Why, you ask?

Well, for one, that's how people describe me:  a cat.

But I just realized today that there's a bit more to her character than merely quiet antisocialness.

To cast a patronus, you need an extremely happy memory, right?  Well, Celina, to put it frankly, is not an extremely cheerful person.  She's cynical and pretty much 1000% done with most people even at her first year at Hogwarts (there's a reason she has only 2 friends, come on).

The thing about Celina, though, is she dreams and reads.  Her source of joy comes not from her own life, but through the lives of books and shows and whatnot.  She lives vicariously through fantasy.

That's where the split patronus comes in.  When she casts it, it's not focused on one memory of hers; it's' split out through different stories and worlds, and she combines all of them to create a whopping mass of kitties
