if we take into account that ezra was how i originally intended to write tre/sch, then there’s a universe where ezra and bel meet back up, even while reality as they know it is crumbling around them 

are all the political leaders in the world figureheads for a darker organization laying beneath the surface? sure, but when they’re meeting at a mutual friend’s safehouse and forced to share a bed, sometimes the world tends to shrink 

there’s a lot of communication. there’s a lot of taking it slow and getting used to each other again and sharing glances across the dimly-lit room, and hushed apologies and hasty reassurances 

and, god, when bel smiles after ezra accidentally brushes a hand against his 

when ezra calls out to him and he calls him by his first name 

at the same time, rhys and lacroix are living together, in a cozy studio high above the city and so, so far away from anyone’s expectations or contracts. 

there’s a lot of them sleeping on each other because they kind of feel morally obligated to help stop the world ending, and that means staying up late at night to work on ciphers and other cult-related shenanigans 

sometimes rhys falls asleep while listening to lacroix talk over the phone, and his voice lowers instantly when he notices that she’s resting her head on his shoulder 

they never really declare that they’re official– notwithstanding the fact that they’ve had to pretend that they’re married on one too many occasions– but when one of them is willing to be raze research facilities down to find the other, it’s kind of hard to deny they’ve got a thing 

rhys still spits her drink out whenever her brother mentions lacroix. trey, god bless, saw this coming from a mile away the first time that she tried to introduce him to their father. 

trey’s trying to dedicate himself to this whole family business thing. having a boyfriend would be cute, but he kind of needs some emotional space. that’s not to say he won’t host the occasional orgy, but for now he’s really gotta’ work out this childhood trauma 

he once tries to invite bel and ezra to the orgy. both of them politely decline. 

.. he meets liam during a mission to steal back the guns that an enemy Family took from them and he falls hard. 

later, rhys has to explain to lacroix that her brother’s crushing on his almost-fiance. 

lacroix chokes on his cheap wine and starts laughing and rhys falls in love all over again
