hermione granger and blaise zabini hated divination.

but they loved theodore nott.

they looked at theodore as very analytical, so it was hard for them to understand why he had a fascination with divination.

he read books about it every morning in their flat while drinking his morning coffee.

hermione was cleaning the counter when she heard theo and blaise arguing in the living room.

“first of all, divination is rubbish. second of all, those aren’t tea leaves, they’re coffee grounds, which have a completely different book for interpreting the symbols found within your cup.“ blaise told theo.

hermione could hear blaise roll his eyes, and she tried not to smile.

“this is why i don’t even try to enlighten you,” theo complained, “you don’t even try to understand! at least hermione attempts.”

she decided it was a good time to walk into the living room to break it up.

once theo saw hermione, his eyes lit up, and blaise winked as she sat in between them.

“it’s way too early for this,” hermione interjected, “why don’t we discuss this later?”

“divination is my morning routine, hermione, you know this.” theo told her.

blaise rolled his eyes again, and hermione shot him a look.

“is there a reason you have to always wake up on the wrong side of the bed?” she asked him.

blaise smirked.

“i’m just reasonable,” he said smoothly, “unlike someone we know.”

theo slammed his book shut and glared at blaise.

“want to come shower with me?” theo asked hermione exclusively.

as she always did, she blushed at his request.

“uh, yeah,” she stuttered, “i’d love to.”

theo shot blaise and ornery smile and took her hand.

once they were in the bathroom and hermione was stripping off her clothes, theo started the water.

when they slipped in the shower, they heard the bathroom door open.

before they knew it, blaise was in the shower too massaging shampoo into theo’s hair.

“i’m sorry,” blaise muttered, “i didn’t mean to upset you.”

hermione watched as theo visibly relaxed.

“it’s okay, love,” he told him, “i know it’s not your thing.”

hermione sighed as she let the hot water wash over the top of her head.
