I just got a supposed e-mail from a talent agency saying that they wanted me to come out to New York to audition. The weird thing is that they said they would send a check for travel expenses which is usually the opposite of what scams try to do. I didn’t even sign up for anything or reach out to them or a similar company for them to even know who I am. However, they’re asking for my contact information which makes me wonder if it’s actually people attempting to kidnap and sell people. Either way I probably won’t be responding, though I may forward it to my acting professor at school to see what they think of it.
