This was a new beat set i did today for the “PURE VINTAGE RADIO SHOW ” : , its some of my more favorite early 80’s new beat and some of the obscure stuff that never got big shouts ,also it is kind of strange trying to mix with new beat so i gave up trying to mix the more difficult BPMs and just let them play from scratch , sorry no track list but i can point the tunes out if you comment on the set … hope you enjoy the mad strange sounds of the Belgian new beat which was such an influence on many .. KM- ACID ARMY- peace .
Confetti’s - Put'm Up (1990, Belgium)
Confetti’s was a Belgian New Beat band from the 1980s. Producers were Serge Ramaekers and Dominique Sas, sometimes credited as The Maxx (not the same as Maxx, a shorter-lived German project from mid-90s). On stage Confetti’s was fronted by singer Peter Renkens and female dancers Marleen, Tania, Hilde and Daniëlla. The band became one of the first to break through into mainstream music as a New Beat act.
