Thanks so much for your request! 💕 I love to yap about these two! It probably won‘t be possible to talk about every thought I got but I will collect some of my favorite ones that I am brainrotted with:

- Fran and Bel complement each other in their characteristics but also their fighting styles! Bel is much louder, outgoing and can be very charming if he wants to. Fran on the other hand is very calm and is not very good with people. Also Bels fighting style is very bloody and physical while Fran is more passive since he‘s an illusionist. Also Fran doesn‘t want to get dirty with blood like Bel does so he leaves the killing to the stupid fake prince. There are more thoughts I have on them teaming up together but that‘s for another post or if you want to know more!

- They‘re both very intelligent! And there comes the problem: They both think they‘re smarter than the other. The truth is they both have their special talents and traits that it‘s hard to completely tell who is the true genius here. Though I genuinely believe that Bels pride often makes him stupid which is why Fran often wins in that regard.

- Which leads me to the point where I think Fran is one of a few people that can make Bel do what he wants him to do actually. He is very calculating and knows how to turn things around that Bel believes he is in the right.

- There is one thing where they actually are on the same page, always. And that is making other people suffer! Bel is more on the physical side and Fran more on the psychological note. But even out of all the Varia killing stuff they both just love to be annoying. If they have the same victim in mind these two idiots can team up against anyone and make them lose their minds. Especially Levi or Squalo.

- I want to believe that Bel hated working with Fran in the beginning. He is a replacement for Mammon who he loved very much! This made him force that frog hat upon Fran who just went the easy way out and just wore that damn thing. Bel grew fond of that little froggy after he noticed how impressive his skills were when it came to illusions and they slowly got along better, plus they are about the same age unlike the other Varia members. Bel would never admit it but he likes that weird guy now and he enjoys hanging out with him and to annoy him.

- One thought about their daily life in the Varia mansion is that Bel has the habit of crashing into Frans room (sometimes destroying the door) and just turn the lights on and off over and over again and leave something there before he leaves again, kind of like that meme about brothers crashing into your room for no reason. Fran just stares at him while he does it and lets it happen, hoping he‘ll just leave when he doesn‘t react.

- In return Fran literally scared Bel a few times too often with his illusions on the daily that Bel avoided him for a few weeks after it was too much one time.
