W SERIES 2022 DRIVER INTRODUCTIONS: #22 BelĂ©n GarcĂa
Born 26 July 1999 in L’Ametlla del Vallès, Spain, BelĂ©n began karting at the age of 15 and finished 10th in the Spanish KZ2 Championship in 2018. In 2019 she started racing single seaters and became the first female F4 winner in an European Championship. For 2020 she qualified to compete in W Series and was set to pair that campaign in selected rounds of the Formula Renault Eurocup but due to COVID she was left without a drive for the season. She made a return to karting for the 2020 season, but is now back in single seaters. She finished 10th in the W Series standings last season and will race for Quantfury W Series Team this season alongisde fellow Spanish driver Nerea MartĂ.

I figured out it was a social thing, what women were allowed to do.
At a very young age, I decided I was not going to follow women's rules.

just watched FRECA race 1. no joke, I kind of do this just to watch some gals race.
the problem is this is a grid of 34 cars, and 2 are driven by girls, which is about 6% of the field.
and it's safe to say Garcia and Buhler aren't rocking the series. and obviously that isn't ideal, but the problem is sexist men will use them to justify the fact that no women can race in Motorsport. you don't see people seeing 2 people of the same nationality towards the bottom of the girls and then saying 'oh, no one of that nationality can race'.
you can't use the incredible minority of women in the sport and say the entire gender can't race. it just shows
