noel had went to the christmas market a lot this year, last year he’d gone once or twice, just come to shop or spend time with his sister. this year he came a lot, with friends, family, and alone. he was happy to go out, he’d been so busy lately, with work, school and being a trainee, he didn’t have a lot of free time, but he’d decided to find free time for this event. he usually stayed late at practice, for this month he wasn’t staying as late.

he walks around, bags in his hands as he’s gone christmas shopping, he’s in his own world until he hears something, or someone ( @bejaehyun ). he stops in his tracks, looks around and finds the owner of the singing that’s happening, quickly his feet move and he stands and listens to the stranger. he claps when they’re done with the song, quickly his feet moving him closer to the stranger.

people knock into him left and right, apologies from every angle that stevie laughs off with a wave and a bright grin. it's a fun house party, brought together by a couple of friends from different universities. stevie knows someone who knows someone who knows someone else-- and that's just how things like this go. or what stevie's used to. it's like that back home too, but instead of nice rooms it was the beach.

this isn't so bad, though. everyone he's met was nice enough. stevie's at least blessed with a bright personality that it's hard for people not to like him or at least find him entertaining; he brushes off passive aggressive comments or just doesn't notice them and moves onto someone new. like jaehyun-- who he doesn't know super well, but all it takes is a few mutuals in common for stevie to feel at least a general ease about them.
