I just read your toxicology series (amazing btw) and all the other little HCs and I noticed one thing is that y/n, despite being an introvert doesn't have any awkward feelings normal girls have. Like being in the nude, sex talk, or not being up to the latest trend [yes being embarrassed about that is also a thing apparently] things like that.
She's only minutely insecure about some things she thinks might embarrass or hurt Damian but other than that she's good. And since she has repelling hormones against other ppl she can avoid awkward small talk with random classmates too [wish I could do that]. I was thinking of at least SOMETHING she might be awkward about but nothing came to mind soo....... I thought to ask the writer themselves🙂
Y/N was raised somewhat isolated from the real world and by two bisexual women, who are both geniuses.
The way they framed the world and raised her was extremely unique. They are extremely radicalized women, and see how institutions and systems – such as the patriarchy, capitalism, heteronormativity, religion, racism, and misogyny – that make women hate themselves so much that it allows them to be easily controlled.
And because of that, Y/N has become almost entirely immune to the brainwashed insecurities that are forced on young women from society.
Y/N actually isn't introverted. Damian definitely is. But Y/N is socially starved after years of being isolated by her mothers and then isolating herself when she was older. She always wants to meet new people and loves going to parties. Damian hates going to galas and events for his family, but Y/N thinks they're awesome. She finds any and all opportunity to make new friends.
The only thing that Y/N gets slightly nervous or self conscious about it is when she realizes that strangers or new people find her kind of odd. She suddenly has this moment of clarity where she truly sees how different she is and how she's always going to be a bit off to some people because of how she was raised and how she lives her life.
[Side Note: You mentioned introversion. And I think there is a extremely large misunderstanding of what 'being introverted' can mean. It's not always being awkward or shy. Sometimes it's that social interactions take out away your energy and can be exhausting. I'm an introvert. But I am extremely social and outgoing. I'm not really awkward about anything. And I don't get social anxiety. I simply get exhausted by socializing and I love my alone time – and need to have it to recharge.]
