Huge! Steps!

It’s been over a month since she’s stiffened up or gotten defensive with feeding time or us coming into her space.

She used to not let me roll her on her back, even casuallyto play or for belly rubs, she was always stiff or just really uncomfortable.

I can roll her around, touch all four feet and mess around and she knows it’s just all play and is no biggie

She’s such a hard, sensitive dog with so many trust issues.

She’s just as confused as I am and we don’t have a good relationship.

I’m thinking I’m going to have to go with more r+ with some things to help build confidence but she’s so damn snarly and growly in the house I have to be careful not to reward it but I can’t correct it either bc it freaks her out and she just revs up more ;_;

I know it’s going to take time but briar was just such a solid dog I’m just overshooting my expectations for right now. I mean briar was almost a therapy dog. I took her into schools, horse barns, fairs, etc. we did dog sports, briar was such a happy easy girl.
