I rode this guy today and he’s so cute but I just completely lack the iron leg strength to turn him so it went kind of roughly 😂
I had a really rough horse back riding lesson today (I was on a new horse and it was my first semi private lesson so I think there was just too many moving parts for my beginner self) where I just couldn't seem to communicate to the horse where I wanted to go and it's really hard to not internalize that and start telling myself I'm a garbage rider and terrible since I have bad lifelong perfectionism
I'm like self chill you've only been riding for 3 months or so once a week, it's just frustrating because it feels like I have one or two really good lessons and then one where it feels like I've taken 2 steps back and can't control a horse at all :( it's the frustration of knowing I must be doing several things wrong but not being able to fix them since I don't know exactly what they are yet
