I very much would like to learn a martial art! But I am severely out of shape and significantly overweight. Would it be best to establish a better baseline of fitness or I should jump in and progress slowly with martial art training?
Just go to the beginner classes. Try out a few different styles, compare payment plans/prices, see how you feel about the instructors, other students, and Martial Art itself.
Martial Arts kicks even “in shape” people’s asses, so it’s better to just jump in with the beginners.
