women in taverns were a rarity less they were employed or related to the owner , or they were working women . lara was none of those but rather a patron --- the tavern being connected to the inn which she was staying the night in . she’d left her room for a meal , reading from her late father’s journal when the peaceful night ended . being it late at night in a tavern there were bound to be unruly guests whom had a bit too much to drink . womanizing men whom that any woman was for the taking . lara was quick to become annoyed when the waitress wasn’t enough for them ( there were only two females within the room ) . upon being approach she gave a stern voice without glancing up . her words were sharp and cold but yet calm and collected . she didn’t want to be messed with and quickly she told the man to back off less he regret it .
