I feel like everyone has their own meaning of what friendship is, so what some people would consider just an acquaintanceship, others would see it as friendship. Even with platonic people. Kind of like how one could be somebody’s best friend, but they don’t see them as a best friend back.
do you think the label of friendship as something that has to be two-sided? how would you feel about others considering you a friend, even though they know you don’t consider anybody your friend/you aren’t interested in having friends due to being aplatonic (from what I know, please correct me if I’m wrong)
i agree w how peeps see friendship all different. there's also the thang w society really pushing friendship super hard so for me it's difficult to really understand friendship
i've seen peeps consider others they've only had 1 decent convo w friends while others can take yrs to consider sumbody a friend for example :P
also i'm fine w whateva other peeps wanna see me as as long as they don't try to make me reciprocate when i can't :D i know sum peeps consider me their friend & that's fine w moi :P
i only take issue when peeps expect me to be their friend back, luckily it doesn't happen very often anymore tho (btw random thing here but i lowkey think that expecting sumbody to be friends w chu bc of whateva reason is like. amatonormative & kinda a breach of consent??? i wish peeps would just ask "hey, are we friends?" instead of jumping to conclusions)
