I think at the end of everyday they’d be “friends with benefits” but it’s way more complicated than they would ever admit to each other.

There’s over two decades of unrequited love between them. Two decades of I love you but if anyone asks go to hell.

I’m sure that there has also been a lot of competitive stuff between them, as evidenced by their boughts of jealousy at their relationships outside of each other.

And let’s face it, they are old school. They grew up in a time where “you’re gay”, was an insult, not a “thanks for noticing”.

I feel like as much as they’d love each other deep down, being able to admit this out loud would take a bravery and dedication neither of them has in their daily lives for each other.

Wow, you aren’t kidding! I just can’t even wrap my head around what those teasers could even mean!

My first thought of of multiple intertwining timelines brought on by messing with the portals, but now I’m not so sure if they are dropping the whole portal storyline, which hasn’t even been confirmed.

Gorillaz is so abstract, which is one of my favorite things about them, that you really can’t guess from day to day where it’s headed.

It’d be really cool if the rumored Netflix series or S2 that they took the storyline to something more linear, such as a mobster/gangster storyline with a tangible plot and subplots but that just doesn’t seem to be the Gorillaz way.

I’d definitely be okay with an abstract concept like in S1 where it’s more or less up the viewers interpretation of what’s going on.

I think the Gorillaz as a creative collective are vibing on fan interact/interpretation as a whole, a rare bunch of creators who actually listen and care as to what their fan base is feeling at any given moment, for better or for worse lol
