In May and June 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono stayed at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal to host a bed-in.The bed-in saw the recording of a hit song and became an iconic part of the late-1960s.
When quizzed about the peace intentions of the other Beatles. Â John said that "George is also an active pacifist, but is not as big a show-off as I am. Â He has to do his own thing for peace." Â Paul, on the other hand is "an intellectual pacifist. Â He talks about it." Â "Ringo," said John, smiling, "lives peace."
