I'm not exactly sure what my obsession is with them. Maybe it's just the image of seeing where someone sleeps and dreams and does their best thinking. The place one wakes up in a cold sweat after a nightmare. The place one lays smiling after waking up and realizing they were dreaming of the one they wanted to dream about. The place one cries them self to sleep after a long day of fighting. The place one feels comfortable enough to let their vulnerability show. The place one gives a pep talk to prepare for yet another day. The place one cuddles with their favorite person. The place one opens them self up and in the ultimate show of vulnerability makes love to the one, or maybe to someone they'll never see again. So much happens in a bed. Our beds know all our secrets, our dreams and our fears. Our bed has held us when we were falling apart and no one else was there to comfort us. Our bed has listened to our every word and dried our tears. Beds are vulnerable places and I find that beautiful. Maybe that is my obsession. Or maybe I just like sleep.
