The Japanase Paradise Flycatcher in the post you reblogged looks cool. Are there other birds that have really long tail feathers similar to that one?
Yes, there’s are quite a few
Other paradise flycatchers such as this Indian paradise flycatcher
White rumped Shama
Various Corvids like the black throated magpie jay, magpies, and treepies
Whydahs (specifically males in the breeding season)
Various pheasants, the Reeves’s pheasant (above) has the world record for longest tail in a wild bird species
The Great Argus pheasant also has an extremely long tail
Various doves, parakeets, etc
The absolute longest tail of any bird belongs to a breed of domestic chicken called the Yokohama, from Japan
The longest of which, according to Guinness World Records, was over 30 ft/10 meters
Thank you for asking
Oh, I've been wondering this for a while... Do you have any animals of your own? Either as a pet, ones you work with, or even just some local wildlife you see from time to time?
I have a bunch of fish, a pair of pigeons, and a dog
Thank you for asking
