Beckett wasn’t entirely sure why he had been so anxious that day. It may have been because of Koda’s talks about dating apps and everything. Which he was fine with, at least he thought he was fine. Beck needed to do something, take a run, walk the dog, something that involved his brain from obsessing over what he couldn’t figure out. If he didn’t do something, Beck had the tendency to just shut down. 

Next thing he knew, he was looking for Harley’s leash. He heard Hailey walk through the door, and he turned to look at her. “Am I going crazy? I cannot find Harley’s leash anywhere,” he said, first thing, hoping that Hailey didn’t pick up on the anxiety that seeped from him. “Do you know where it is?”
